Sectors

Experience creates understanding

Housebuilding, architecture, property, skilled trades and building restoration

These sectors have been at the heart of my work for many years. I understand their terminology, their technical context and many of the questions that matter to customers, the media and the wider public.

A housebuilder communicates differently from a building restoration specialist. An architecture practice approaches a building from a different perspective to a property company. Understanding these differences helps identify the topics that matter most and communicate them with clarity and credibility.

Making complex topics accessible

Technical and specialist subjects are a regular part of my work. My journalistic approach allows me to explain complex issues clearly without oversimplifying them.

Whether the subject is architecture, construction methods, building restoration, research findings or developments within the skilled trades, the aim is always the same: to make specialist knowledge understandable, relevant and engaging.

Lifestyle and fragrance

Alongside my professional focus, I have a longstanding personal interest in lifestyle and fragrance. I follow brands, products and international developments closely, with a particular interest in the stories behind them.

Although these fields are very different, they are connected by the same challenge: understanding what makes a brand distinctive and why people are drawn to it.
